Posted: Tuesday, July 24, 2001 in ACE Press Releases

SAN DIEGO--Active military, veterans and eligible spouses and dependents can now receive reimbursement from the Veterans Association for exam fees for any of the four American Council on Exercise (ACE) certifications.

Under the G.I. Bill, all ACE exams taken on or after March 1, 2001, qualify for reimbursement. This applies to first-time and re-take fees. This new benefit will assist military personnel to develop new skills and embark on new careers. More information on benefits covered under the G.I. Bill may be found at www.gibill.va.gov.

Currently, ACE offers four fitness professional certifications: Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor, Clinical Exercise Specialist, and Lifestyle & Weight Management Consultant. More information on preparing for an ACE certification exam may be obtained at www.acefitness.org, or by calling 800-825-3636.
