Youth Fitness Programming
In past there was not as great of a need to educate kids about eating healthy and exercising, but today we are faced with a nationwide child obesity epidemic. Daily activities such as walking to school, physical education classes, after school activities, chores and general playing have been replaced with a sedentary lifestyle in front of the TV and computer. In addition, unhealthy food has become much more prominent and accessible as food courts and fast food restaurants pop up on every corner. It is important for us to continually teach our kids to lead healthy and active lives now so they can avoid serious health problems in the future.

The Operation FitKids
Youth Fitness Curriculum (a $99.95 value) is now available at no cost to educators as a public service of the American Council on Exercise. The Operation FitKids Curriculum was designed for educators looking to integrate health and fitness with into classroom learning. This seven-lesson module was developed to teach the 3rd, 4th and 5th graders the extreme dangers of being overweight and the importance of a healthy and active lifestyle. The program is available in an easy to download PDF format.
