Pilates Mat Specialty Certification

Students will learn the basic principles of Pilates essential exercises by lecture, observation, and practical application. A basic review of kinesiology is provided to help students understand the principles of alignment. A variety of breathing exercises are introduced to give students the ability to learn and observe breathing patterns and habits. The principles of stability are addressed by reviewing the joints of the body and the muscles responsible for proper stabilization.
