In this advanced course you will review the current literature regarding the benefits of aquatic exercise using various therapeutic interventions. Learn how to apply systematic aquatic activities to fit client needs and how to progress and adapt these activities for a multitude of individuals across the lifespan and with disease specific conditions. The various therapeutic interventions presented in this course include the Halliwick Concept, the Bad Ragaz Ring Method, Ai Chi, Watsu, Swim stroke training modifications for rehabilitation, aquatic cardiovascular training, neuromuscular training, and core, upper-quarter and lower-quarter musculoskeletal training. Various case studies are presented and discussed throughout the course. This is an advanced course designed for physical therapists, physical therapy aides, therapeutic aquatic specialists, and fitness and wellness professionals with previous aquatic training and experience.
