Neuromuscular and Physiological Aspects of Exercise

This course will provide fitness professional with a comprehensive introduction and understanding of the neuromuscular system and the physiological aspects of exercise. The nervous system’s functional design, its proprioceptive mechanisms and the expression of force through strength, power and endurance will be discussed. The physiological variables and responses to each main functional system will be explored and their implications on program design. Attendees will leave with a clear understanding of the science behind common training methods and principles, setting a foundation for appropriate exercise design and progression.
