The Barbell Foundations Clinic is intended to introduce, instruct, and educate students on proper use of the kettlebell. Students will develop proficiency and have the opportunity to perfect technique during hands-on practice with the barbell in this 7.5 hour course. Primary exercises include Box Squat, Olympic Squat, Sumo Dead Lift, Romanian Dead Lift, and Military and Bench Presses. A review of biomechanics, joint actions, and posture will reinforce principles and techniques learned during practical portion of course. Progressions and modifications are also covered. Students will leave with skills to design training sessions for clients using the versatile barbell as the primary piece of equipment.
