Core Pilates NYC’s Intermediate Level Mat Course is designed to continue building on the principles learned in the Beginner Level Mat Course while introducing more challenging Intermediate Classical Mat exercises. Students will become fluent in teaching the 18 Intermediate Pilates exercises in the classical Intermediate order. Students will also learn innovative modifications to challenge or simplify each exercise according to various fitness levels or common injuries. This 16 hour course includes all testing, as well as an optional 3 hour refresher of our Pilates specific basic anatomy workshop done in clay. With clay and skeletal models, this workshop is interactive, fun, and a creative approach to understanding anatomy. Core Pilates NYC also provides a manual and an optional apprenticeship where students may use the studio facilities for the week in between course study to observe mat classes and practice with each other or friends.
