Fitness Professionals will learn to adapt strength training to the group fitness format, combining the skills needed for excellent group fitness instruction (cueing, counting music, and becoming a motivator) with personal training skills (adapting exercises for safety, correcting form and alignment, and coaching). Fitness Professionals will become familiar with using a weighted barbell to train every major muscle group in the body with exercises that are appropriate for a group setting.
