Reformer as Functional Training - CEC Course

Not all Pilates exercises are beneficial for the general population. You will look at the reformer differently after this session. You'll see how it can be utilized to correct body mechanics, and discover how to analyze postural issues and corrective exercises. This course is for the instructor who wants a deeper knowledge of deviations.

  1. Examine the purpose of "teaching" an exercise rather than just "performing" it.
  2. Compare in detail traditional exercises to functional exercises.
  3. Use the reformer as a tool in new and productive ways.
  4. Evaluate research-based exercises and injury rates to come to an understanding about why students are getting injured.
