White Crow Yoga’s Level 1 Yoga Instructor Training Course is designed to give a foundational knowledge of Yoga. It covers how to teach safe, effective Yoga postures. Fitness professionals appreciate the safety and alignment taught in our course and the fact that we focus heavily on learning how to quickly spot and correct misalignments that may harm students. While what you learn in our program could certainly be used in a Yoga studio setting, it is also appropriate for those who want to incorporate Yoga postures into their existing gym-based classes. You will also learn how to communicate with students of different learning styles by using verbal, auditory and tactile teaching methods. The course covers cuing, class formatting and sequencing, and basic Pranayama (breath practices). For those who wish to delve deeper, we offer an introduction to Sanskrit and information on becoming a Registered Yoga Teacher.
