OYM Teaching Training

This course teaches you how anatomy and physiology can be applied to movement/exercise patterns and then takes those movement patterns and relates them to specific exercises, injuries and everyday functional movements. This will allow you to identify a client’s biomechanical movement patterns and use them to assess their needs. The course also focuses on cuing, which is key to making sure a client has proper form and gets the most out of their workouts. You will learn best practices for visual, verbal and hands-on cuing and get practice applying them. Finally, this course will guide you through designing circuit workouts for clients and groups and how to intensify or modify the circuit/exercises based on differences in abilities or injuries so that all workouts are safe and challenging. This course will be begin January 25 and end February 15, exact dates and times below: Jan 25 1-6pm Jan 26 8am-1pm Feb 1 1-6pm Feb 8 1-6pm Feb 14 1-6pm Feb 15 8am-1pm Location: 1101 W.
