Day 1 Significant concepts covered include the ten tenets of the Pilates method. Discussion on the historical overview of Pilates. Muscle focus, objectives and cues are also discussed. Repertoire includes fundamental and intermediate Mat exercises and Leg Weights. A one-hour mat class is given. Day 2 Significant concepts covered are core strength and the relationship of the abdominals and the back. Discussion on the importance of the flow in a session along with modifications, assists, accessories and contraindications. Repertoire covers fundamental and intermediate Mat exercises and Magic Circle. A one-hour mat class is given.
