Soma System® - Releasing the Hips & Improving Balance

Soma System® integrates movement-based assessments with myofascial release, trigger point therapy, stretching, and strengthening to improve health by nourishing the soft tissue and increasing internal awareness. This three hour workshop will focus on the key components in the lower cross pattern of posture and their implications on balance, flexibility, injury, and overall health. An overview of anatomy and palpation skills will focus on the specific muscles influencing the pelvic girdle and lower extremity alignment. A Soma System® sequence will be taught in a lab setting including self-bodywork techniques, stretching, and strengthening targeted at restoring balance to the muscles of the lower extremities.
