Fundamentals of Nutrition for the Fitness Professional

This classroom-based workshop reviews the six essential nutrients necessary for optimal health, fitness, and performance. In addition, students will learn the evidence-based Dietary Guidelines for Americans (2010), including recommended food guidance systems, interpretation of Nutrition Fact labels, and macronutrient calculations. This course also provides specific parameters regarding dietetic scope of practice for fitness professionals.
