The class has been designed for all levels of participants; with the main elements of the class being challenging, fun, safe and very rewarding. Kathy G’s Tread Tabata class has been created as a high intensity interval training class following a Tabata protocol on the treadmill with HIIT full body floor exercises following an upper body, lower body, cardio and core format on the floor. The Tabata protocol consists of 20 second bouts of hardcore activity, followed by a 10 second recovery interval; making up 8 rounds of 4 minutes in total. This 8 hour course will teach you how to effectively plan, perform and evaluate a class to meet the needs of the participants within a safe framework. The key to the success of the course is your professionalism, commitment and willingness to learn new skills to use within the gym environment; using a Tabata training philosophy.
