Boot Camp and Outdoor Fitness

This 5 hour workshop will help the Personal Trainer or Group fitness instructor teach thorough, safe and effective boot camp and outdoor fitness classes. Legal aspects - medical waivers, forms, scope of practice , Evaluations and goal setting – HR monitoring, Par-Q, helping the client set appropriate goals, Fitness testing – girth measurements, cardio testing (and your limitations), flexibility testing, strength testing, Cueing – how to cue, appropriate cueing. Lesson planning – how to put a class together, Aerobic/anaerobic, interval training, resistance training – how to put interval and circuit classes together, Equipment – what to buy, how to make your own. Putting a class together – complete lesson plans Keeping it safe – safety aspects, what to avoid.
