Mind Body Barre® classes are known for the three "e"s--being energetic, empowering, and effective. Each class focuses on the dedication to the mind, body and soul. This full body workout is composed of resistance training exercises that focus on the alignment & strengthening of the body using free weights, barre work and finishing on the mats for core work and seat exercises. The movements are inspired and influenced by Pilates, yoga, orthopedic and classical ballet barre exercises. Mind Body Barre® utilizes the ballet barre as an efficient tool to enhance & strengthen muscle groups. Using specific verbiage and positive affirmation to achieve mind-body connection on a deeper level, you will graduate from this course with all the tools you need to be an instructor with awareness and intention. All graduates will be fully prepared to teach the importance of the mind-body connection in barre classes. Mind Body Barre focuses on the connection of barefoot training, vestibular/proprioceptive changes in movement and the anatomical alignment of the body. The course offers a deeper understanding into Mind Body Barre theory and the importance of body awareness through functional movement and the energy each exercise can bring.
