NASM Weight Loss

Weight loss continues to be leading reason why individuals aged 25 – 55 join health clubs or start exercise programs. Yet, although diet and exercise are viewed as traditional practices for weight loss, they often involve less-than-enjoyable experiences. While fitness professionals seek simple, time-efficient and accurate energy-balance solutions (i.e., calories in versus calories out), emerging research continues to shift beyond traditional assessment tools, and general diet and exercise, to now address unique coaching and other innovative ideas. This workshop will examine these new ideas, and provide participants with the knowledge and skill sets needed to implement these tactics successfully into their programs to attain effective and sustained weight loss.
