Hydration: Drinking Fluids for Optimal Performance

You are about three quarters of the way through an intense two-hour workout, it's 90 degrees, and 98% humidity…what do I drink? It's mile 20 of my marathon, 45 degrees and so dry…what do I drink? My child plays soccer for 3 hours every Saturday…what do I give him to drink? You are likely to hear these types of questions from your clients, and it’s important to be able to answer with sound, scientifically-based recommendations. Water, sports drinks, and even milk can all be good choices, in specific circumstances. They key is knowing what to recommend when. This webinar will cover the ins and outs of hydration including what to drink, when to drink, and how much to drink depending on the type, length, and intensity of the workout.
