Pilates is a robust and challenging method that compliments many athletic and lifestyle activities. This workshop will explore the Classical Pilates mat exercises from “Return to Life” to give participants a clearer understanding of why these exercises are so effective when taught with the following principles in mind: control, concentration, coordination, breath, flow and precision. Pilates is an extremely effective method to build core strength and the correct initiation of the movements from the core, or as Joseph Pilates used to say “Powerhouse“ is invaluable in order to gain the greatest benefit from each movement. Be prepared to work from your Powerhouse and come away with a greater understanding of this work.
