In the Foundations of Yoga course, students will learn, discuss and teach the 8 Limbed Path of Yoga developed by Maharighi Patanjali. Students will also be exploring and participating in the philosophical discussions of the first written work about classical yoga, and Yoga Sutra of Patanjali. In the anatomy and physiology of this course students will be focused on the muscles, joints, bones and connective tissue of the pelvic girdle, legs, knees and feet. Students will learn and teach foundations, focal point, alignment and variations of yoga standing poses.
