During the Introduction, personnel will learn the missions and intent of the inter-agency training. It will include highlights on administrative and operational application and how personnel can use it to advance their programs. The mini-workshops will include a fundamental description of and hands-on supervised trial and error of power lifting basics, as well as an interactive classroom workshop on understanding heart rate theory and its validity in fire service conditioning. The main event is a hands on instructional exercise course. The purpose is to expose firefighting trainers to alternative exercises, work-rest variations, and unconventional equipment simplification.
