Pilates for Knee Issues

This eight hour workshop will identify the underlying issues which affect te knee joint and work to improve the individual's ability to do activities of daily living as well as working on injury prevention with today's atheletes. When looking at knee issues it is important to remember that the knee is a "dummy joint" which will go as directed by the foot and ankle and the lumbo-pelvic hip complex. Concerns relating to ankle and hip mobility need to be addressed so there is less stress on the knee joint. This workshop examines a variety of myo-fascial release and stretch techniques as well as corrective exercises to improve tracking at the knee joint and strengthening all of the lower body musculature to reduce the impact of the damaged knee joint on function.
