This evidence-based, informative workshop will provide trainees the tools they need to develop safe and effective yoga classes designed specifically to meet the psychological, emotional, and physical considerations associated with negative body image and associated disorders. Trainees will learn how to create and sustain an environment of healing and acceptance through the use and practice of the yogic tools of asana, pranayama, philosophy, and meditation. Interactive activities focusing on the teaching and practice of mindfulness skills are emphasized.
