Assessing the Human Kinetic Chain

This course will dive into the science of force-coupling relationships, length-tension relationships, arthrokinematics, sensorimotor integration and neuromuscular efficiency. And, the students will review options in what to do with inefficiency of these respective relationships. Progressing to optimal functioning, the human body’s flexibility, strength, balance, joint stability and mobility, etc. will be reviewed. Other assessments to be reviewed include body fat, cardiovascular conditioning, and an 8 point movement screen. Finally, the students will problem solve case studies, and role play the summary ‘findings’ and potential action plan of a completed assessment.
