Teachers of this 200-hour Yoga Alliance Teacher Training program will gain the knowledge and the tools to conduct a cohesive and challenging yoga class. Students will gain the ability to lead safe, effective yoga classes while also projecting confidence and competence. Most other trainings emphasize book learning, lecture, and provide few, if any, opportunities to actually teach Yoga. In this training you will be teaching yoga daily throughout the training. The program facilitates a scientific understanding of the body, you will study functional Anatomy, as well as the physiology of yoga poses and breathing techniques, you will learn yoga philosophy, you will begin to learn the fundamentals of meditation, Pranayama, Ayurveda and the chakra system. Modern scientific discovery is compared to ancient teachings. Daily asana and pranayama classes with comprehensive analysis and methods of teaching are presented. You will also learn how to instruct and set up classes, the purpose of each asana and hands-on corrections.
