In 31 hours (16 lecture, 15 practical) students will discuss current trends and strategies in nutrition, resistance training and cardiovascular training and how to apply these techniques with individuals, small groups and more traditional forms of group exercise. Students will have multiple opportunities to practice and demonstrate these techniques with the class. After each practical session, they will be evaluated on their performance. In addition, students will attend lectures on communication techniques, building sales and referrals, professionalism, and the value of teaching group exercise and small group classes.
