Course Description

Course Type: DVD with Online Quiz

Course contents include:

The human body is comprised of many separate systems that need to function as an integrated unit for efficient movement. Movement begins from a position of posture; efficient movement requires an initial position of good posture.

The ability to perform a comprehensive postural assessment is an important component of creating a successful exercise program to help clients achieve their goals. Every personal trainer should have the knowledge, skill and ability to assess a client’s posture to identify muscle-joint imbalances which could be the cause of existing postural and movement compensations. Correct body mechanics can assist in joint alignment and muscle balance and should always be the foundation of a well-balanced exercise program.

The Conducting Postural Assessments course reviews the neuromuscular principles associated with bad posture, provides comprehensive instruction on conducting a postural assessment and introduces practical solutions for restoring good posture through a proper stretching and strengthening exercise program.

Read Pete McCall’s article on How to Successfully Market & Use Postural Assessments as a Training Service.

Comments: This course was definitely a challenge. The supplement material is very helpful and the training DVD is one of the best I've used. I can really perform a proper assessment now and understand not only what I'm seeing but why. You will most likely have to retake the quiz a couple of times.
