When study guides collide...

Study CoachWhen study guides collide…

Many candidates receive test preparation materials that include a printed 12 /20 week study guide. This is a color coded, grid/spread sheet style document that outlines what to be studying when - a wonderful thing.  However…the problem comes when these candidates compare their printed study guide with the weekly emailed study coach document. Suddenly the panic sets in. The two documents are different! The printed guide says study chapter 4 on week 4, but the emailed study coach is only on chapter 3. What to do?

The easy answer is, only follow one of the study coach programs. They were created at different times and won’t be exactly the same. The online study coach was more recently released, and offers more ‘interactive’ options than the traditional printed study guide.

So which one should you use? Whichever one works for you. Personally, I like the email study coach program. It offers great guidelines in terms of what to study when. If I get behind a week, the email can sit in my inbox until I’m ready for it. However, some people get started with the printed study guide when their material arrives and feel more comfortable sticking with that program.
