My training philosophy is to realize your fitness goal and start at your own fitness level to build a foundation in order to have safe and effective progress to reach your goal. Ask yourself, "How would I like to see myself one year, two years, and much longer. I was a competitive swimmer until about age 20 so I was used to feeling fit. After I raised a family for over 20 years, I was quite unfit even though my weight was ok. My goal after my father-in-law died of heart disease, was to run a marathon. It took a couple of years to finally reach this goal after doing local events and training over one summer to run the Portland, Or. Marathon. My goal was to reach a good fitness level and stay at that level for life so matter what exercise I happened to be doing--walking, strength training, or swimming. I have been a group fitness instructor since 1989 and a personal trainer since 1999 and have experience to help you reach your health and fitness potentials.
