I have always been athletic and 20 years ago I decided I wanted to do a triathlon. As I trained harder I developed low back pain and over time I worked out less, gained weight and I eventually gave up. I was diagnosed with a spinal cord tumor and it took me a few years to recover from the surgery. I'm very fortunate to have recovered as well as I have, but I'm very determined and expect a lot from myself. It took a while to walk again, but eventually I was skiing and backpacking. My last trip was 70 miles over 7 mountain passes in 7 days in Utah. I set a goal to do that triathlon and I hired a trainer at 24 Hour Fitness. I've lost 30 lbs, I'm the same weight I was in high school and I did that triathlon a couple years ago. It was then that I decided to help others achieve their fitness goals. I'd like to help you achieve yours.
