September DBA:Shahravar began studying and teaching Middle-Eastern style dance in 1991. She began teaching on her own in 1993 opening the Urban Ghawazii Belly Dance Studio in 2008. She created the Shah Sitara Collaborative, a performing group in 2004. Over the years, performing, teaching and participating in workshops throughout the United States and studying with world respected experts. Specialties include swords, veils, zills, folkloric dances, and improvisational technique. She co-owns the Salt City dance and fitness studio in Salt Lake City, Utah Shahravar earned her A.C.E.
