About
My interest in getting certified as a personal trainer came as a direct result of experiences as an exercise fanatic. I've run many races of different distances (including over 20 marathons), cycle and swim. I've completed three sprint triathlons and had personal training for 4 years. I work at the University of Arizona preparing teachers to work with students between the ages of 3 and 22. I include physcial fitness in the methods class as being of prime importance in a child or youth's education. I enjoy working with children, youth and adults who have lacked opportunities to get more involved in exercise. Now, with my ACE personal training certification, I will continue to work with blind/visually impaired and other disabled persons in the community to offer them many ways to get fit.
