About

Pat Perretta is living proof of the transformational power of fitness. His personal journey is an inspirational example of the benefits of a healthy lifestyle.  A typical sports-loving kid from Brooklyn, Pat was a successful high school and college athlete. As an adult he led an increasingly inactive lifestyle, and he suffered a very personal struggle with weight.  This sedentary lifestyle led to an extra 100 pounds and all the health risks and limitations that come with being overweight   Five years ago, Pat was determined to get himself back in shape. He joined Asphalt Green’s “Simply Tri to Lose Weight” program, lost 100 pounds, and changed his self-definition from couch potato to competitive triathlete!  However, Pat didn’t just change his life; he saved it.  In 2008, he nearly died from a structural heart defect. His doctors say he would not have survived if it weren’t for his lifestyle change. In the hospital he was affectionately given the nickname “The Save” because of the rarity of people surviving this sort of trauma.    The final chapter in Pat’s transformation has been his profession.  Pat’s personal transformation is an experience he wants to share with others, and he has become ACE ,WITS certified , as well a Cycling coach . He continues to educate himself as a fitness professional and coach.   Pat draws enthusiasm and perspective from his lifestyle change, and uses his unique experience to help his clients achieve their fitness goals.
