SAN DIEGO (Oct. 13, 2009)—American Council on Exercise (ACE), America’s leading authority on fitness, education and training organization, has selected Peaksware, LLC to provide all ACE-certified professionals with TrainingPeaks Professional Edition software, a comprehensive solution for improved client management; exercise program planning, featuring exercises from ACE’s Exercise Library; and a publishing platform for exercise videos, custom workouts, training plans and meal plans.  As a result of the partnership, clients that train with ACE fitness professionals will have the opportunity to access TrainingPeaks Personal Edition software to view their prescribed program, track their exercise progress and record their meals from any computer or Web-enabled mobile device, resulting in enhanced accountability and value to both the professional and client.

“We are honored to have our TrainingPeaks software selected by the American Council on Exercise to provide fitness and diet online tracking tools for all its trainers,” said Donavon Guyot, CEO of Peaksware.  “Being chosen by the nation’s premiere fitness and wellness organization confirms our work over the past decade and recognizes that we have achieved our goal of offering the ultimate training and nutrition software to not only elite endurance athletes and coaches, but also to general fitness enthusiasts and trainers.”

TrainingPeaks delivers functionality for strength and cardio exercise, indoor and outdoor workouts, and both training and nutrition, providing a complete package for professionals and their clients.  In addition to the intuitive interface for planning and tracking, TrainingPeaks provides the ability to upload files from more than 80 popular training devices, map activities, easily search databases of routes, foods, workouts and exercise videos, and receive daily communication reminding the user of that day’s program.

“As one of the largest global fitness certification, education and training organizations, we are committed to creating new opportunities and partnerships that will maintain our leading position in the industry and re-enforce our commitment enriching quality of life through safe and effective exercise and physical activity,” said Scott Goudeseune, ACE’s president and CEO.   “Our relationship with Peaksware is one of the many added-value programs we offer to fitness professionals.”

Peaksware will provide classes in the form of online webinars teaching ACE professionals how to manage their clients’ physical activity programs and interactively deliver exercises from ACE’s Exercise Library using the TrainingPeaks Professional Edition software.  ACE-certified professionals will also receive preferred pricing on the software and will be awarded Continuing Education Credits (CECs) for attending the Webinars.
