ACE selected by AARP as Provider of Personal Training Services for AARP Members

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (September 24, 2007) – The American Council on Exercise (ACE), your premier certification, education and training organization, is pleased to announce that AARP’s 39 million members will now have access to ACE-certified fitness professionals. AARP is the leading nonprofit, nonpartisan membership organization for people age 50 and over in the United States.

AARP Services, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of AARP, launched a fitness program this summer, including exclusive member-only offers provided by the American Council on Exercise, Curves and Gold’s Gym. Focused on prevention, this program will provide information, resources and services to help members lead active, healthier lifestyles.

ACE-certified professionals are now eligible to register for this program that will allow AARP members throughout the country to contact them directly for services. In addition, the annual $50 enrollment cost for an ACE professional includes an extended profile listing accessible on www.aarpfitness.com, viewed by thousands of consumers. Those who join in the first year receive FREE continuing education courseware focusing on older adult fitness (0.2 credits worth).
