Chronic pain is defined as consistent pain lasting three months or more, or intermittent pain lasting for at least six months. Current research reveals that many long-held views regarding chronic pain and exercise are outdated. In this webinar, corrective exercise expert Anthony Carey, ACE Certified Advanced Health and Fitness Specialist and founder of San Diego-based Function First, will discuss the critical aspects of chronic pain. He’ll also share relevant exercises for clients suffering from chronic pain, based on the biopsychosocial model.

You will learn:

  • General guidelines for programming for a client with chronic pain
  • How to establish goals and expectations for a client with chronic pain
  • The constructs of the biopsychosocial model

Reviews

This was like attending a college lecture class with an engaging, well-organized professor. The slides and the lecture supported the learning objectives, and it was genuinely useful and interesting. This will help me with a current client who has chronic pain.
