Teacher's Tool Box: Athletecism for Children and Youth

As physical education and sport continue to be eliminated from school programs, it is the job of trainers and coaches to teach the youth population about the importance of physical activity/sport. Of equal importance is understanding how to appropriately train youth athletes to gain a competitive advantage. In this course you will learn that children are not just small adults. You will understand how to develop lesson plans and training programs geared specifically towards the youth population. A positive environment sets the tone for great learning. Children and youth thrive on fun, exciting and interactive experiences. Learn how to create positive physical change along with positive emotional attitudes, build training experiences.
