Tough little course but very informative. As a Combat Challenge veteran, I found this to be very thought provoking while at the same time, justifying the intensity at which we need to work. I will use this material to build fitness assessments within my organization.

Very practical information for setting target zones, stress testing, and lots of charts for resoures. Highly recommended.

This is an excellent class for PFTs. It has assisted me in answering questions raised by FF's during our fitness assessments, about VO2 Max and how to improve it. I have also adjusted my program development focus for those who want to improve their VO2 Max for Firefighting.

This class, while designed by and for firefighters, certainly has applications in any realm where the athlete is encumbered by equipment, which includes other tactical athletes like military and law enforcement.
Really, however, the course should be called "VO2 Max, and YOU" because that is really the Lion's Share of the class, though it was interesting to learn how to model VO2 max testing without expensive CO2 measuring masks, that was the only thing that was taught. For a .1 CEC class though, it was very interesting.

It did not get into training for Fire Fighters as much as I thought it would.
