I did not do as good as I expected. However, I thought it was one of the best courses I have ever taken. Tons of good information. My notes were not good but that was my own fault. I would have liked to have been provided this in printed form. The hip chapter did not print and caused me some difficulty.

Progression through each injury was logical and straightforward. This make it easy to document the rehabilitation process for future reference.

Lots of information, but it all was very necessary.

Some questions covered material never discussed in the course. Some question answers contradict what I read in Dr. DiNubile's books. Some questions contradict information I found from physical therapists online.

ACE RESPONSE:  Mary Ellen, thank you for your course review.  An ACE staff member will be in touch soon to address your concerns.

Excellent resource with lots of helpful information.

I don't like when I miss a question on the quiz and the correct answer is not given when the quiz is scored. It is not helpful to me to tell me how I answered the question unless you tell me the correct response and my answer. I already understand my logic from the reading material. I would like to know the correct response and why it is deemed correct. Maybe even to go so far as to give a page number in the material to reference when I go back to look it up.

Absolutely ridiculous!!! You need to read 67 pages ONLINE of sophisticated, highly technical and medical material that is intended for a doctor or physical therapist, not a personal trainer or group instructor! And take notes???? hah NEVER accept any "bundle" unless it is hard copy. I actually needed to print out the 67 pages, and still used Google to answer some of the intricate, complex quiz questions. There was no index or table of contents, either. I do not believe that our ACE specialists who charged $316.00 for the bundle, would even be capable of passing this test? I PASSED, but missed 9 questions...more than I have ever missed on any other test that I can remember. It was embarrassing. The additional two books (hard copies) were excellent, informative and helpful. A frustrating experience in re-certification. And I have re-certified every 2 years since 1991.

The course content was good, however the e-book format was terrible. A proper book is much better study aid.

Very indepth and informative. Exactly the type of reference I was looking for, although I wish that it wasn't a single chapter. This is far better than the "Framework" Series, which shouldn't be included in the program at all, because theyre for the layperson that is new to working out, not the advanced health fitness specialist.

Written for the professional personal trainer. Very concise and packed with excellent information. No fluff.

Very thorough overview covering many pathologies of common ailments in todays society, without getting so technical that it would become difficult to understand. I was pleased with the course.

Very Challenging. Felt that some questions were trick questions.

ACE RESPONSE: Thank you Dominic for your feedback.

This is three chapters from a textbook - an easy read, but it seemed like an interactive module from the description, so I was a little disappointed. I did like how all of the lower extremity injuries were described in the same manner: description of injury, signs and symptoms, precautions, interventions, and restorative program (flexibility, strengthening, and functional integration). This way of laying out the information makes it easy to read and even easier to go back and look up information that I want to know. But, there is a good bit of information that gets repeated because each chapter is written by a different author.

I answered question 34 incorrectly. I went back to my studies and looked it up. If I had to answer it again, I would answer it the same way. Would you please help me understand. Thank you.

ACE RESPONSE:  Thank you Carolyn for your feedback.  An ACE representative will reach out to you shortly.

Because the pages for the answers to the questions are not given in the question it is more time-consuming to reread and search for the answers...

    1/20/15 8:27 PM

Informative, but dull. Material wasn't all relevant to what I was seeking. (I'm not a medical professional, I'm a personal trainer!)

ACE RESPONSE:  Thank you for your feedback.  An ACE representitive will contact you shortly.

    7/7/13 12:17 PM

This a must do for all trainers, i would however like to see more detail on the upper body dysfunctions, but overall excellent

ACE RESPONSE: Thank you for the feedback! We hope you can incorporate it with your clients!

    2/24/13 1:27 PM

It's a PDF file taken from the Advanced Healht and Fitness Specialist Manual. You're basically reading a textbook so it isn't the most fun but the information is useful.

    Margaret (ACE Certified Professional)

    8/27/10 5:33 PM

The information contained in the course is an absolute must for personal trainers!

    8/4/10 11:50 AM

One correction needs to be made to the exam. #2- "weight bearing as tolerated" is in the minimal protection phase. This was my answer and it was marked incorrectly. Support for this answer is on pages 421-422 (chapter 17 of AFHS book). Thanks

FROM ACE: Thank you for your feedback and catch of this error. It has been corrected and the revised quiz is now available.
