ACE Expert Review

The ProLite and BlackMat PRO from Manduka are two new yoga mats, featuring eco-friendly materials. The PROLite is available in five colors; BlackMatPro available only in black.

What we liked:

  • These mats are manufactured using a certified emissions-free, zero-waste process and provide adequate cushioning and a non-slip surface.
  • Manduka offers a lifetime guarantee on both mats.

What we didn't like:

  • Both mats are extremely heavy (even the PROLite), which increases their durability, but makes them less appropriate for toting to and from classes.
  • These mats may be more suitable for health clubs that want to offer their members mats to use.
