About Michael Mantell
Michael R. Mantell, Ph.D., earned his doctorate at the University of Pennsylvania after completing a master’s degree in clinical psychology at Hahnemann Medical College, where he wrote his thesis on the psychological aspects of obesity. He has served as chief psychologist for Rady Children’s Hospital in San and the San Diego Police Department, and on the faculty for the department of psychiatry at University of California, San Diego. Michael serves as a behavior science coach for personal trainers, health coaches, world-class athletes and fitness enthusiasts, as an expert for Greatist.com and as an ambassador for PHIT America. He is also a regular contribute to Fox 5 News, IHRSA and the Sporting Club of San Diego, where he specializes in fitness behavioral science. Michael is the ACE Senior Consultant for Behavioral Sciences.
