The same passion for youth fitness that inspired ACE to create free Operation FitKids curriculum for educators interested in making physical education part of classwork inspired us to partner with Henkel in 2010.
The Henkel Helps program was established in 2007 by the Henkel Corporation – the company behind some of the nation’s well-known brands such as Dial®, Purex®, Renuzit®, Right Guard®, Soft Scrub®, Loctite® and g?t2b®.
Henkel Helps Kids Get Fit asks communities across the United States to nominate their school for a chance to win $10,000. Teachers, parents and community members submit their nominations by letting the organization know what the school does to get fit, why they need help to do more, and how they would use the winning $10,000 to improve youth fitness.
Each year, finalists are selected to submit videos explaining how they would use the prize money. The public votes on their favorites, and three winners are selected – one elementary, middle and high school.
