Earbuds that won’t stay in place is a common complaint, especially among exercisers. Acoustibuds claims to have solved that problem. These silicone attachments are designed to fit over the earbuds that come with many MP3 players, including the iPod. Easy to attach, Acoustibuds come in two sizes with either five or six “fins,” which grip the ear canal. We found that the smaller size was generally sufficient for most ears (size 6 was too large for most) and that the product was comfortable to use, whether during cardio workouts or when following downloaded workouts, such as yoga and abdominal routines. Sound quality is somewhat compromised, although the reasonable price and the advantage of not having to reinsert the earbuds every time you turn your head may make the Acoustibuds a worthwhile tradeoff.
What we liked:
- Silicone adaptors help keep earbuds in place during activity
- Comfortable and reasonably priced
What we didn’t like:
- Slightly compromised sound quality
