Under Armour has drawn a loyal following, particularly among athletes, by offering a wide selection of sports and fitness gear. For women, they offer a range of styles and fits, including loose, semi-fitted and fitted, as well as high-tech fabrics to layer and keep the body warm or cool, depending on conditions.
The Women’s Form Fitted Capri is part of Under Armour’s AllSeasonGear® line, which is purported to accommodate a wide range of temperatures and conditions. The pants feature a 20-inch inseams and a rollover waistband that allows the wearer to adjust the coverage from high to low. The four-way stretch fabric, which is comprised of 90% Nylon and 10% Spandex, is quick drying and kept the skin relatively sweat-free even when exercising outdoors in high temperatures. Though comfortable, the biggest drawbacks were the thick seams, which caused chafing on the lower legs, and the lack of a gusset, which means that undergarments are most likely required. These design features make Under Armour’s Form Fitted Capri, which ran true to size, more appropriate for activities like strength training rather than cardio activities.
What we liked:
- High-tech fabric keeps body cool and dry
- Rollover waistband allows user to adjust coverage
What we didn't like:
- Thick seams can cause chafing
- Undergarments may be necessary since the pants do not have a gusset
