Under Armour has drawn a loyal following, particularly among athletes, by offering a wide selection of sports and fitness gear. For men, they offer a range of styles and high-tech fabrics to layer and keep the body warm or cool, depending on conditions.
The Men’s Flex Short is part of Under Armour’s HeatGear® line, which is purported to keep the body cool even in the hottest temperatures and conditions. The shorts feature a 10-inch inseam and an internal drawstring for a secure fit. The four-way stretch, lightweight mesh fabric is quick drying and the side pockets are a convenient feature. Our testers consistently rated these shorts as extremely comfortable and most appropriate for strength-based activities, stop-and-go sports, or just everyday wear. However, they may be too heavy for running or other continuous cardio activities. Designed to be loose fitting, these shorts ran slightly large and held up well to repeated use and washings.
What we liked:
- Comfortable, light-weight fabric
- Pockets add convenience
- Appropriate for a variety of uses
- Reasonably priced
What we didn't like:
- Heavy weight make shorts less appropriate for running and other continuous cardio activities
