Snowboarding Ups Wrist Fracture Risk
A 10-year survey of snowboarding injuries in Colorado confirms the wrist is the sport's most vulnerable part of the body.
Out of 7,430 injuries, 22 percent were wrist injuries, mostly fractures, which were usually caused by a backward fall. Beginners, women and younger snowboarders were the most prone to wrist injury.
