Personal Training Changed My Life

I started working with ACE-certified Personal Trainer Amanda Durner on April 27, 2004 and since then I have seen a dramatic change in the way I look. I was having problems losing weight and toning. I was in a rut and didn’t know what to do. I asked Amanda about personal training. She told me she was a certified personal trainer and I could start working with her when I was ready.
Shortly thereafter I made an appointment to meet with her. She gave me some workout suggestions to do on my own and she took me on a run. She asked me to keep a food log for two weeks and after doing so, I realized I wasn’t getting enough calories in my diet. Amanda offered some basic suggestions to improve my diet and since then I have had no problems. I eat more but am still seeing the results with my weight loss and toning.
Amanda changed my workout too. I was doing aerobic classes everyday. I thought you needed a lot of cardio to lose weight, but I was so wrong. Amanda explained to me that the body gets used to the same routine and will no longer burn fat effectively.
Since I started working with her I only do aerobics twice a week. I keep a workout portfolio and put everything I do in there. I meet with her twice a week, once for cardio and once for weight training. On the days I don’t meet with her, I use my portfolio as a guide for my cardio and weights.
I have dropped five inches in my hips and waist. I feel so much better since I started working with Amanda. I have more energy and I am eating better. I have my junk food every now and then, but now I don’t have to worry about gaining weight when I treat myself. I burn it off a lot faster than I used to. I feel great and it’s all thanks to Amanda and personal training.
