Like many of us, Donna was stuck in a rut of eating the same foods week in and week out. A detailed meal plan offers variety, so she is experiencing healthy options, and learning how to add a healthy variety to her eating.
As a personal trainer, my biggest fear is that people walk out of my gym and immediately fall back into old habits. I've found that there are key things that I have to include in any meal plan I provide, or they're going to get tossed in the trash. Meal plans have got to be easy to follow, and contain foods that are readily available, and that people are willing to eat. I can't hand over a plan with exotic ingredients with complex recipes and expect anyone to follow through.
When I keep it simple, check in regularly, and encourage them to stay as close as possible to the plan, my clients are seeing results quickly. The magical part of this is that when they experience even small wins early, they're much more enthusiastic about getting into the details, and really making the changes in their eating that produces the results exercise alone just can't.
I can't express how Evolution Nutrition much meal planning has been a win for my clients and me. Now I can finally give my clients the diet planning they’ve been asking for, and grow my business, without having to find more hours in the day to do one-on-one training sessions.

The Challenge
As with just about every personal trainer out there, my clients were asking me exactly what they should do about their nutrition. I knew if I was going to help them, and grow my business doing it, I needed to provide them with something of real value.
I have a variety of clients, but more often than not, they're looking to lose weight. One of my long time clients, Donna K., had been working out with me regularly, but we knew she really needed to make some changes in her diet if she was going see the changes she was hoping for. She is in her 60s and I feared she wasn't getting enough to eat, let alone eating the right foods.
The Solution
I was incredibly excited to find a tool out there that allowed me to provide professional meal planning while staying within my defined scope of practice. Of course having the ability to offer Donna and my other clients sound input on nutrition is going to help them achieve their goals more quickly. But more than that, by using meal planning as a teaching tool, I've really been able to support my clients in making the lifestyle changes they need in order to sustain those changes over the long term.
Once I was able to hand Donna a comprehensive meal plan, she had a clear understanding of what she should be doing, and simple shopping lists, portion guides and easy-to-follow recipes that made eating right a much less daunting task.
