The fitness professional will receive a foundational overview of the resources associated with sports nutrition. These resources will provide the fitness professional with the ability to distinguish between fad diets and healthy eating. Assessment of the exercising member is promoted with the exploration of medical/nutrition considerations and body composition. The fitness professional will also take aware a better understanding of influences such as food/body image on eating, mood states on eating, and eating disorder issues. The course culminates in presentation of sport nutrition basics for the exercising member.
